Region Syddanmark wanted to strengthen their crisis management process. So they contacted Improsec's Strategic Cyber Risk Advisory team to take active responsibility in fine-tuning their crisis management processes – and to train and prepare in advance of a potential cyber attack.
Improsec created a one-day practical workshop for the IT management team to both develop, test, and train Region Syddanmark's contingency plans. Together, Improsec’s security advisors scoped realistic crisis exercises to practice with the IT management group. The adapted exercises were based on everyone's everyday life, which made the whole effort down-to-earth and relevant.
The IT management group participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the opportunity to discuss concrete scenarios. Everyone walked away with a far better understanding of the contingency process and their roles, responsibilities, and mandates within it. They now feel confident that Region Syddanmark is better prepared to handle potential disasters.
